Not really, we have used Pt Gawler in the past, and have looked at using Tailem bend this year. But hats Adelaide Uni, Uni SA might have something up their sleeve.

new hoon laws were passed here in SA a week or 2 ago. It is now illegal to "hoon" on private property...
a Kahnacross on private property near Tailem Bend was cancelled yesterday, as the organisers were allegedly told by the local Council they would be prosecuted if they held an event there. The event has now been moved to the Tailem Bend Motorsports Park.

Celica Club of SA just held a Track Day out at Mallala couple weeks ago

too risky these days, don't want my baby impounded for 28 days, let alone crushed. street racing is now an automatic criminal offence too.

now more than ever - get it off the streets and onto a track. there is plenty of cheap motorsport out there. join a cams affiliated club and get into it! plenty of friendly people willing to offer help out there

the cheapest speeding ticket is over $330 (1 - 14kph over limit), and is over in a fraction of a second. A day of motorsports lasts all day

It's only illegal to hoon on public property if you don't have permission from the owner from what i've read, so not sure what the local council had to do with it...

bungs - yeah dunno, what i have said is rumour i guess, but anyway Councils have the authority to decide Land Use, and I guess if they decide the use they have heard the land is going to be put to does not fit in with their planning policy, then they have the option to say "cancel that or we will sue you"
PITA but that's the way the world is heading
