You can use 22RE electronics, its not ideal, but it runs fine, and is a shitload cheaper than trying to get an 18RGEU ecu!
or a better solution would be a MegaSquirt, then you can tune it and it should run pretty well, the 22RE electronics seem to make it run rich and with a lack of low down power.
    Good Luck.

Microtech for $1100. Spend the money and save yourself a lot of hassle. Getting non-factory engine management up and running smoothly is hard enough without messing about with weird and wonderful low-budget shenanigans.

    Definitely agree with Norbie.
I've gone through the hassle of both factory 18R-GEU engine management, and also a Megasquirt-2. Unless you are a sucker for punishment or are looking to spend a LOT of time learning the intricacies of engine management, i wouldnt suggest you attempt either.

    My lessons learnt:
    - factory 18RGEU ECU = detonation and poo fuel economy
    - Megasquirt-2 = mindfuck setting it up and getting it running. Otherwise very good.

Microtech LT10s on the otherhand will work just fine and give you excellent power and economy compared to the factory computer (if you can even call it a computer).
Take my advice, and save yourself from a dead engine.
    ...... butt scratcher?!
