Transmissions behind the Y-engine

G52 is a 5 speed box
G40 is a 4 speed box
The R151 box will bolt up to the same bellhousing as a G52 and is a stronger box than the G52 and is also a 5speed

1985 Hiace (YH71 from memory) uses a G52 behind a 3Y-C (looks bloody similar to a W5* Supra box, but has gearbox mount on top and side shifter linkages to suit the van).

My YR21 has a Aisin Warner 70 (auto).That 3Y-C is now replaced with a 3S-FE.

my hilux has a w52 box if it is 5 speed floor shift !
