Default Gen 3 3sgte plug leads

I'm trying to extend my coil to dizzy cap lead due to RWD conversion but the issue is the OEM plugs on the lead. Is it possible to have a lead made or, get adapters for a standard type lead?

Are these plugs/leads a generic denso item and used on other makes or are they toyota only? If they exist on other cars, I might find one at a wrecker that is longer than my MR2 jobbie.

    Any info is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

you can either get them made to suit by Thundercords (or similar) or just use off the shelf topgun leads to get it running. what coils are you planning on using?

i personally just grab some $5ea bosch leads for my engine as i wasn't worried about asthetics at that point and just wanted it to run. the only problem is they won't be sealed at the head and may cause it to miss if the plug holes get water in them.

    cheers

    Thanks for the reply.
I've actually converted it to front mount dizzy so I can use the stock coil. But, because the Gen 3 hsa funky plugs on the coil and dizzy cap I've run aground. Any other toyotas run the same plugs but maybe a longer coil/dizzy lead that I can pinch?

Just get one made to exactly the right length. I had to do it for my Gen3 when I put the coil and MSD in the boot, thundercords charged me $20 for a new one made to measure.

Thanks for the replies guys. I went to the wrecker today and got a couple of longer leads (dizzy to spark plug) from an st185 or similar, for a couple of bucks. While I was there I cut a plug end apart and inspection shows that I might be able to uncrimp the terminal and join it onto a longer lead. If it works, it's cheap. I'll get one made up later, this is just to get the thing running.
    Cheers and thanks again.
