actually it was just over $1400

spend some more money/time yesterday, new shocks.... between the brakes, lower profile 'sporty' tires (which have been sitting around for 3 years now and are hard as) and the shocks.. it has completely transformed the thing to drive...

Righto-those discs look just right for an upgrade on the Crown.

Cough up dude-what type are they!

    Diameter?
    Thickness?

They are 300x28 DBA 504's i believe... basicly falcon disks (checks the dba cattledog) yup, BA falcon.. 298mmx26mm

hard bit is that they are on custom made hubs.. and funky brackets to make the calipers mount up.

got the kit from hoppers stoppers www.hoppers.com.au

knowing you, you can probably just knock some up

they also do a 330mm version.. they are the disks off the FPV's i'd say.. but i suspect you wouldn't want those for the same reason i didn't... they need a minimum 17" wheel...

did you look into the 4piston upgrades from the 4x4? I'm curious in how 'custom' you went with getting that brake package installed.

Very nice progress so far !

basicly the 4wd calipers would be nice.. but the disks wouldn't fit.. ever... so i needed custom hubs.. this was a bolt on kit.. i just wanted it to go on and work.. so i was happy enough to pay the cash

lance: 4wd hubs are completely different.. and 6 stud...

AE71: the top of the support was cut and bolted back in, i didn't want to hack out the structural looking part lower down unless i was going to get a much bigger radiator in there.. it will happen when the excel one is no longer enough.

Another reason not to put one in ...

15.6L/100km which isn't that bad considering how i drive it.. but it works out to be about $22.75/100km and that wasn't even 98... just PULP
