    Default 1G igniter question

    Does anyone know if the 1G igniter/coil is interchangable with any other toyota igniter/coils? I'm planning to drop a 1G in my RA65 and the 1G I'm getting doesn't have the Igniter/coil.

    I'm darn positive the 22RE's wont work but I was rather hoping I could use one from a 7M or other US engine.
    RA65 SCCA Car (looking for a decent swap)
    NCP61 Daily Driver (pondering the practicalities of making it a SCP61)

    Same as MTEU ignitor. (by looks, didn't check part numbers)

    I'm yet to see anything else that looks remotely the same.

    No, unfortunately it's not the same as any other igniter. It looks the same as others but the 1GGTE igniter produces 2 verification signals back to the ecu. Other Toyota igniters only produce a single verification signal. If you don't have both the engine won't start.
