Mine looks exactly like yours Silly...

When i get down to a diff shop ill ask them if they recognise it as an LSD. If this is a open center, i will cry, and then be very angry... But im sure its an LSD as the guy who sold it to me should have no reason to lie, he's definitely a trust worthy toymoder...

Well it does make a difference when you have been in the industry for 15 or more years verse a few toymods lerners , i tend to know my shit . Best advice to give is if you are unsure of something best not to post and create more problems for people.
That said jase its not hard to pull it apart and give the plates a rub and find some washers for the springs , that will tighten it up a bit .

If you look through the holes between the centre ring of bolts, you should see the friction plates.

Here are some photos of mine:

You can see the gears through the holes in the sides and the friction plates through the holes in the ends.

You didnt mark your bearing caps, how do you know if you put them back in the right order? They are matched and cant be swapped, will put uneven pressure on bearings and destroy them.
I suggest you take it to a diff shop, get them to check the spacers and backlash otherwise your rear end might fall off...

The bearing caps on mine went back on the same way they came off im virtually certain. Though there was one point where someone was telling me to swap them and see if they are the same size. So im not 100% if they went back on the way they were supposed to...

I am going to stop by a diff shop in hornsby tomorrow morning hopefully to drop it in to get checked. Hopefully its sweet and/or close to sweet and they dont charge me what it woulda cost to have it done from scratch

It will definately be cheaper than if they put it back together, but they will still charge you a bit as diff work is specialist work. There is no way it wont need some adjusting/shimming, ive put a 2 diffs together, followed all the guides, even had a go at the backlash myself but still needed the hands of a pro for a few hours.

You could check if its a LSD by putting one axle in a vice. Try to turn the pinion and see if the sun wheels on the other side turn (where the other axle fits). If they do turn its not an LSD. If it is an LSD the whole diff centre will want to turn around. Also, I've set up a diff and it does take a long time. You need bearing blue; a spring balence to check bearing preload; a number of shims; and a lot of patience especially if you have to wait three days for Toyota to bring in a new shim and it's still not the right one. There should be plently of internet sites dealing with setting up the diff.
