Due to this, the area where it is tapered down cannot be resplined making it an unusable part of the axle (when talking about shortening/resplining), so you either shorten by less than 30mm or shorten by more than 60mm.

Might i add that shortening 30mm is the minimum for each axle so if you want equal length axles then double the measurements i quoted. My ms112 diff has been shortened on one side to 1360 (standard t series size).

Well a hilux 5 sud read would be preferable for rims at the rear, for the front you'd need mx65 huubs and then you'd be sorted

ovlov diff.....was reading a thread on it just yesterday on this wonderful temple of knowledge. pretty sure it said something about jeep using the dana diffs, and after market lockers/lsd where easily sourced from 4wd stores.....just a thought.

Shortening diffs is very expensive... last time i got a quote, they were talking ~$1.5k.
Most of the cost was from the resplining and heat treating the axles.

An idea i heard mentioned a while ago was to use a RN4x diff, and then use a KE70 engine xmember, rack & RCA's.
Both then shift out the track by the same amount.

If it does have a 1jz behind it then a g series is probably a better option since 1jz rolla is starting to twist axles behind his 1jz.

Since you want dish then an f series could be shortened evenly to make it 1300 and should provide a nice amount of room for some -offset rims.

This is correct...let me be more specific...
already running KE70 front member and steering, and with increased track on the front, i currently have an F series 1410mm diff....
THE SAME as an rn4x diff length...
and i have clearance issues with 205 tires and a little bit of dish
i want a stronger diff anyway, for the 1j
soo...i want possibly the G series 1370mm with some large rims with big dish, to equal th front track....
