Where does the L-R go to the left?
Well there are 3 wires, 1 power, two ground/signal.
Who wants to tell me which is which. Im guessing Blue/Red is signal, since Red is bridged to ground in the combo meter. Anyone want to confirm?

Odometer/Trip, another reason im thinking its the speed signal.
Im also starting to wonder whether this is one of the few Toyota ECUs which doesnt care at all what speed its doing.
I cant find anything which connects the speedo/speed sensor to the ECU..

You'll find that out if/when it throws code 42 at ~100kph.
As for your thoughts on what the wires do, I'd agree.

Seems to agree with you:
1 = Power
2 = GND
3 = Signal
