Board announcement - Special General Meeting - 16th June 2008.

This post constitutes an Official Announcement to the Financial Members of Toymods Car Club Inc by the Comitee of Toymods Car Club Inc in accordance with the constitution.

The announcement is to advise all Financial Members of a Special General Meeting to be held on Monday 16th of June 2008, at Hills Alliance Church Hall. 524 Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills. Starting at 7.30pm.

The reason for calling the meeting is to vote on a Special Resolution.

The special resolution is in relation to the clubs recent approval from the RTA to provide and control the issue and use of Historic number plates.

Changes to the clubs constitution are required before plates can be issued, the changes to the constitution require a majority vote by financial members to be passed. This vote is planned to occur at the special general meeting.

Details of the changes will be added as details come to hand. And full scope of changes described on the night.

I urge all financial members to attend as this is a landmark event for the club.

Last night we had enough of a voting quorum to pass the changes of the revised Toymods Car Club Constitution, and we now include Historic vehicles and the ability to register them through the RTA.

Last night will go down in the history books, and its wonderous effects will reverberate throughout the car clubs of the world!!!!!!!

Cruzida, I will raise the payment options at the next Board meeting. Firstly I need to speak with the bank that holds our accounts, to ensure what we can/cannot do in regards to other payment options - as the account is set up with dual signatories and such stuff, and therefore there are some restrictions on how it can be used.

I remember the days when Historic Regos was a distant vision of what Toymods could possibly achieve, and it seems the future is now.

So what does the new future hold for Toymods? Where can it go from here?

From here I am working on a proposal to present to the RTA for a modified classic limmited rego system. Basically historic rego for modified cars.

It's been proposed before and never went anywhere. However the guys from the RTA have said they're open to listen to good idea's so we'll see how we go. I'd love to have the equivalent of the hotrod rego for post 1948 cars but I seriously doubt we'd end up with anything that lenient. If we can get cars with engineer certified modifications on club rego that's what I really want to see.

Cams affiliation?

CAM's affitiation is somethign we have looked at on several occasions but have always come to the conclusion that it does not fit the character of the club. Toymods car club in terms of the events we hold is ostensibly a scial club. From when I have looked into the cams coverage they are really not focused on a club of our type.

If there is a specific advantage that CAM's affiliation offers and is going to be used by a majority of club members then we'd look into it again. For now I see no real benefits for the vast majority of members just more red tape and more cost.
