the yellow one is an earlier revision, and I don't believe it will plug straight into the grey-plugged ECU. As for the specifics, i'm not 100% sure, but the grey ones look better![]()
guys,
Im in the process of buying a second hand loom for my supra.
My current connectors (ECU end are grey) and the one im purchasing are yellow.
Is there any diffrence apart from the colours
thanx

grey = newer generation of 7m and not compatible with the green/yellow connector units.
IE you cant run a grey ECU if you have a yellow/green one currently.
Also neal if you want a loom I know a guy here in canberra who has a green plugged unit in mint condition, no cuts etc

There's also a later yellow loom that has the same plugs as the grey one.
Learned that the hard way when I bought a yellow loom to replace a fubarred one. The early tellow loom is definitely very different

Kedderz: Can you confirm if the green if the green is compatible with 89 grey plug and how much or organise pictures.
to put it simply, grey mates with grey. nothing else, so yellow to yellow, generally ask what year its from, pre 88 is the yellow kind, i THINK post 89 is the grey?
no idea on price ive just bought some parts from him and saw the loom, his contact details are on supraforums.com.au name "lowguido"
