yep thats correct 3rz is a 2.7.
My 4agte is plenty quick enough for a ke30 street car. Ask bananaman.
But of corse if you want stacks of power go the 1g.
Check with an engineer before going ahead with the 3rz, that is if you want it legal. I believe the biggest na engine you can legally put in a KE3x in NSW is 2.6L and with forced induction it's 2L.
3rz is 2.7L, correct?

Yeah true, it's just after I drove Emp's Corolla you get hooked on the 1G powah! but it's a lil too powerful for my liking! So 4A will be more than enough!
I might pick your brains out Cuzzo about your 4AGTE! hehe.

well, an NA 3RZ will have the (potential) torque and powahz of a 4A with 10-12psi of boost..... or a 1G/3S with 5psi boost..
you can also fit ITB and have wonderful NA sound
if you want boost, and you want 2L, a 3S seems hard to go by... 2L same as the 1G, smaller, easier to fit in bay, better weight distribution, still 4cyl, not that hard to convert to RWD, plenty of versions to choose from with up to about 195(?)kw and 325Nm torque from stock engine. add a few more pounds and 200kw at wheels is easy.
200kw from 4A is doable, but then it becomes a whole lot less drivable and more likely to break![]()

i love the 1g, but in all realities, 4a is the logical choice.
but if you use logic wouldnt you just buy something faster to begin with?
so really, do what floats your boat, theres not too much more work one to the other, so i would go with what you want.
handling will suffer with the 1g however, i never really had a drama with mine in the ke70

hasnt arrived yet, should get here in a day or two, then it goes to the exhaust shop and tuners
ive gone with the 0.63 exhaust housing, so it should be reasonably responsive and provide at least 220rwkw
Sillycar: The car itself was fantastic off boost plenty of torque and it was very drivable off boost, if you wanted boost you had to wait until around 5500rpm but then its nearly time to shift gears anyways! Was a weapon none the less, Josh and his old man really thought it over good.
That turbo would seem more reasonable than a T-70!

haha ill add my bit to this one
I would go 4agte personally, 4age's are cheap as chips to build as opposed to 1g's which suck to get parts for! a nice turbo on a 4ag would get my vote, having driven a couple of 4agte now they lay lack alittle bottom end but still more than enough for a ke35... also cuzzo's is a damn screamer, not much i would change if anything from his setup for a street/strip corolla
as for the T70 on the 1g, it had some strong top end and not much could get around it on the open road![]()

Has there been any progress on this?
I just bought a 1jz setup for my KE30 so just interested how your going with it.
yeah I have a 4A sitting in the bay now, money permitting, still getting things ordered etc.
1JZ would be mental, although you can't get it rego'd.
