Default ram tubes for 20v blacktop

Before I go ahead and start getting some tubes made up to fit my blacktop 20v, I just thought I'd see if anyone knows of places that make them to fit.

I've found two places in australia that sell them for the silvertop, those being: www.tweakit.net and unifilter (http://rampod.com/)

I'm estimating It will cost me between 300 and 400 to get them made up (including flanges and alloy welding etc) since that was about how much it costed me for my silvertop ones (now sold) So if anywhere or anyone wants to sell some ready made ones for any cheaper than that I'd probably buy them.

So does anyone have advise on where to get them or where look for them, or failing that, sizing, length, shaping etc, for having them made up?

Im going down the same path at the moment, and im going to go visit some performance car shops, I can get a pair for $85 with flange to suit a 45mm carb. So depending on how much meat is in the flange they should be able to be slotted to fit. Other wise this guy on trademe sells them,

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-48586839.htm

But i think they are only really worth about 100bucks for a set of 4.

JNT performance sell blank ram tubes, really good quality, but you'll have to find bases and weld them (but for the cheapness it's so worth it)

    Thanks for all the responses,

I'm really hoping to find some that are actually the size for the b/t throttles (~49mm) rather than have to grind out some ones made for the s/t

where is JNT performance? do you know how much they charge for blank tubes? If they're decent ones, good size and cheap enough then I wouldn't mind getting flanges laser cut and welded etc.

and yeah, thanks, I'll give him a try, I've sent him an email.

If it turns out too hard or expensive to get some professionally done tubes that bolt straight on, I might prefer just getting them custom made, since it fun designing them, just gets expensive though.

The guy from techno toy tuning sent me pics of em:

I think they look pretty good, and the price is ok, so I'll probably go with these.

I don't know about the technically correct sizing etc for this engine, but at least they appear to have a pretty smooth bellmouth
    They are 75mm long.

So whats wrong with the factory rubber ones? Toyota must ahve spent an awfull lot of money tuning them to suit the engine? They only need i see for changing them, is either they dont fit in the engine bay. or the engine is significantly modified.or you want to run a plenum over top of them (which is very difficuly in a RWD setup with the rubber ones..)
    Just my 2c.

The factory ones arent bad, but performance was not the primary concern when they were designed.

Much of how they were designed was aimed at reducing noise and relatively tight packaging. A straight tube will work the best for performance but they take up plenty of room and are pretty noisy. They also cost heaps more to make than molded rubber ones.
