I personally wouldn't risk it, I know plenty of people haven't had any problems with welded heads. But i had a repaired 3S-GTE head crack again in the same place, and in a non pressure area.
I recently posted about another blown head gasket, turns out it blew for a good reason this time. My head crack, it seems where cycl 1 one of the side water jackets has cracked into the cyl side so therefore as you could imagine the water getting inside creating a compression lock- good news is i havea spare head, but even better news is the head that cracked can be welded (the head has been ported so it would be a waste)
Anyway to get to the point why and how could something like crack?
and second
is it safe enough to weld or should the other head be used, will it be weaker if this was done, the head specialist I have take itto says that the weld will be fine, I just want to be sure!
Thanks guys

yes I may have a spare head.
I am selling the car and was selling all parts with it IE spare block, head and cosmetics / eletetrics.
However PM me and let me know how much you are prepared to offer.
Thanks
