not too sure, but is the stop light electrical idle up pin on the ECU wired up?
ok i am baffled, why does my Jzz30 1JZ-GTE stall decelerating to a stop, it will start straight away, idles fine, but when down shifting and coming to a stop the car will stall, just cut out, the engine is in a VL Commodore. Any ideas on where to start looking to fix this problem?

thats what mine did for a bit when the caps in the ecu were dead
look at that issue, rip open the ecu and have a look for leaking caps
JZX83+ FMIC+ Twin 2.5" dumps to 3"+ FCD+ 2800rpm stallie+ 14psi - LSD - good tyres = 12.85 @105.58
The boobs are back
Ok checked out the caps...the seem all good here are some pics, i also have a manual comp , but I haven't driven it on road since swapping so I don;t know if this has fixed the problem yet.
Any details on the on the top light electrical idle up pin on the ECU ???
When i first got mine running, it used to do it every time i gave 3rd a bootful...
But since having it running for almost 1 week straight (without disconnecting the battery at all), the problem seems to have resolved.
I was speaking to Sasha from Canak Autosport on the weekend, and he was saying something about the 1jz needing a little bit of time to re adjust after having it disconnected from power for any extended period of time...
How long has yours been running for?

is the idle speed control valve wired up? check the 6 pin plug on the stepper motor.
for memory its wired up as follows;
.......to ecu->..|....|..<-to ecu...
+12v power->..|....|..<- +12v power
.......to ecu->..|....|..<-to ecu...
hello
is it auto ?
not sure about the 1jz, but i kno if u have a bov installed on an auto car it mucks it up on decelleration, and on occasions causes the car to stall,
ive never owned an auto, i only know because my afc neo is meant to have a function to stop this happening,
just another thing to check![]()

I got an auto ecu... With manual box and bov... Would that be the reason my car used to stall??

non vvti 1J's are map sensored so BOV wont make it stall on decel. I've run multiple manualised 1J's with the auto ECU and never had a problem with stalling on decel.
my 1j is in a vk commodore and i can confirm the previous post about the motor needing time to readjust after being unplugged, mine when it first got done did some weird idling up and down but then it settled down and runs fine, now that i dont drive it very often i disconnect the battery and when i reconnect it it takes time to settle down again

thanks ripfast, i live on a main road so until the car is finished and registered i'm a little hesitant to take it for a drive.
Thanks everyone for your input
i know how you feel, my dad wants to take mine to a place 2hours away, i am having a little problem with the car cutting out/stuttering when it goes over decent bumps (think its the fuel pump), i dont want him to have to walk most of the way.
it can be difficult

is it an aftermarket ecu??
the wiring could be loose in the plug.
