what width are the ovlov diffs Blake? I recall researching them when I still had my TE72, but didn't get much help out of local wreckers (including a specific Volvo wrecker in Mitchell)

    1400mm,

    27spline axles,

search the net for DANA 30....

The Volvo 1030 Dana 30 differential is a pretty tough unit with beefy axle diameters (1-3/8" stepped to 1-5/16")
what size axles are the g and f's?

visit here for more volvo dana 30' info, http://wwwrsphysse.anu.edu.au/~amh11...volvo_dana.htm

dont even think of finding a standard volvo lsd, as ther are like hens teeth, i searched for months going from wrecker to wrecker,

in the end i picked up a truetrack, which has seen many burnouts, 6000rpm launches on slicks, numerous motorkahanas cainings/trackdays

im not making near what power you are tho.

Can anyone confirm where the volvo diff sits weight wise in comparison to the toyota F & G series diffs?
As much as I don't like using non toyota parts it is sounding like a reasonable option as an upgrade for me. As long as its not as heavy as a hilux diff.

Where is the axle twisting ? Sounds like you definitely need thicker axles. Billet means nothing, there are various grades of which most would be worse then Factory.

I got some Moser billet axles from McDonald Bros in Vic.
    http://www.mcdonaldbrosracing.com.au/contact.php

They get them made to your specs in USA and shipped over, took about a month.

The F series are twisting in the splines.

Not all the teeth engage the centre and that is where they are twisting

Not much you can do about that except get some axles made with less elasticity then the Factory material.
