Wakefield Park Track Day - Friday 20th of June!

well, I know Garth got me having a special moment at the end of the straight (the site of all 3 of my offs)

And that was without a car

I think i can claim the record for shortest outing before falling victim to the gravel trap on my 2nd time out.. after spinning out after half a lap, then getting stuck half a lap later in the gravel.. haha. Little bit overconfident after being smooth first time out

All in all was a fun day, have never driven an mr2 or done a track day let alone full pelt on a wet track, think my best lap time ended up at 1:30.8 (very impressed with racechrono, on that note!). May have run a smidge faster at the end but wasn't timing.

I was one of the two driving the white mr2..

And copious amounts of alcohol are in the process of being consumed.

We also discovered that Honda petrol is great for putting out fires. (and even carboard doused in it wont light)

So now you owe scott 2 coronas and me 1 bundy.

I spent at least 7-8 secsc diigging aorund in the ice for that bundy. Btw, if we're shipping drinks down i request a tortoise because apparently Linden fell asleep in the passenger seat up the main straight.

Haha nice effort.. I still felt like a douche, losing it twice in the space of 1 lap with the latter ending in getting bogged

All good, by the end of the day i was alot more confident and adjusted to the car (only 3 spins in total i think), looking forward to the next one (maybe someday in my own car! haha)

just went thru a couple of the incar videos from the 23, got a good one of coming round turn 1 to find matty in the IS1J facing the wrong way

will up load vid later,

still had a great day out, gets a little boring though only feathering the throttle 99% of the day,

i think every car out there was covered from top to bottom with quality goulburn mud by the end of the day,

new surface conpared to the old surface in the wet is no difference either

good on ya Garth for getting it together, was a good day out! (and no one can say that going to work woulda been better )
