did as suggested and still no reply, there is probably a perfectly good reason, but a reply / copy of transaction records would be great, have asked a few times now and still no reply, and the member has been active within that time, i currently have a moderator looking into it for me.

    Hopefully all goes well.

so whats the go with this thread?

looks like i am getting ripped off, paid money by transfer weeks ago, have send numerous pm's and checked that the user has visited the board since pm's were sent but no reply.

it was only 20 bucks but i have since passed up the opportunity to buy a similar part locally and i really need this bracket.

do i post his name here or what?

No posting of names Just yet. Send through the details and we will contact them. If they choose to ignore us then name and shame sounds very reasonable to me

name and shame is good but computers, internet connections phone lines or holidays don't always add up mayby 4 to 6 weeks before nameing and complaining . as i had trouble befor with someone not paying and sent numerous mesages yo the buyer was not the money but principle. in the end 5 weeks later he had sent money and went on working holiday, when he returned to some of my messages was not happy but understood he resent the money and canceled the other, and i did feel a little guilty. all was good in the end but i do say things happen and not always intentionally. so hope all works well for you. but be patient.

iv got one...a certain person and i swapped our cars...plus cash on top...now the cash settlement was 2000...he has paid 1000....but has now been months..with just excuse after excuse, plus being very abusive..i told him i may have to go to court as it seem he had no intention of paying up...and hes like fine...

i wouldnt want other people to go through what i have....what to do.

He didnt have the cash at the time. He was adamant he was man of hes word..and we did have a paper signed agreement. Though now is a different story...the reason behind why we swapped cars before cash was given was becuase so we could start on each others cars.

I DO NOT know how to say this any clearer.

if your having trouble with a sale ( and you have done everything to solve the issue yourself) then send us through ALL the information, PM's Emails etc and we will try and help.

However without that contact from you honestly what can you expect us to do? Us board members might have super powers ( so people think) but mind reading is not one of them.

If the other party chooses to ignore us then name and shame is in order. But sometimes there is just a simple problem that is a one off and easily resolved.

you have paperwork (ie, initial agreement and contract), you have followup recipts for the cash he gave you..

go to your local court and ask to serve him a summons to collect the last $1000. it will cost (or used to) abotu $50-60, and it gets added to the claim amount. it gets served by a Sherriff , and if he doesn't pay then, it goes to court.
but since you have paperwork, court will be no problem and you only need a cheap lawyer

what do you mean start on each others cars?

a mans word is only as good as his actions... where money is invoved, you need to be a bit more careful in future, as it seems that even tho he may be a man of his word.. his words are not worth $1000

edit, was this from the celsior? or do you have a habit of swapping cars?

After a phone call one evening, they requested some cams they knew I had asap. Trying to do someone who I thought was a mate or at least an 'e-mate' a favour, I sent them off (postage receipt dated (30/06/08) before they had paid for them as they were sitting around while I was finding a use for them. Having dealt with this person before I have no qualms sending the cams off before payment had cleared on the promise of 'ill fix you up when I get paid'. Express postage cost me $56! And the Cams themselves we agreed on $400. At the very least I expected to be reimbursed for the postage in the first week. But now on the 15th of SEPTEMBER I still have no money in my account. they have even posted in their threads about 'remembering to pay me' amongst other things. I have attempted contact with varying success since. emails. phone calls , 20 sms generally non replied to and most nights on msn since the 'sale'. He has promised on those times I have managed contact him to pay asap and has even said he has transferred to no avail. I give people the benefit of the doubt but after 3 months of no money, broken promises, and even trying to have my cams sold back to me im hoping this will spring him into action to pay me. ive tryed to do some non cash deals but trying to find out if that is still happening ive had no replys.

ive been patient and generally been level headed about this. but now its starting to get to me. they still dont reply to general questions. ive also found others could be having the same problems.
