Very nice plenum!!!! ... I see that the original plenum was used to create this work of art.... what size throttle body did you go for? let us know how you go on the dyno with it...

I have just dropped my car off at plazmaman which they will be making up a new plenum for my engine. but I doubt i will use the original plenum runners... I'll get some pics up of my one when it's completed..

mic, thats pretty much it, no real rocket science involved, i have been running this plenum for a while now, and the throttle body is from the ford factory

Interesting results. Your plenum and t/body have seemed to make a difference as opposed to a stock 1ggte intake. With stock plenum and bored out t/body Andrew was able to get out 290cfm average per runner measured at 26 inches of water.

shane, #6 has been the culprit, for me 3 times now it didnt really stand out though in the before flow tests, it seemed to be 3,4,5, and 6 running leaner than 1 and 2, have a few other thing im going to try also, too try and stop this destroying engine business, could also have something to do with the tuner, as ive only had dramas since i started taking it there, but im not going there or i cant really staart throwing accusations around, well i could but im not, i dont really know

strad i didnt make it mate a guy in newy made it for me, otherwise id make a few up.

If four out of six cylinders are above the total airflow divided by 6 then your tuner should not tune too lean or the results are obvious, but it shouldn be hard to get right. Infact its a better (edit: more efficient) scenario than the stock plenum where in high power applications you run four cylinders (slightly) rich to save two cylinders that out-flow the rest...

How much boost are you running?

If you are running a decent EMS with sequential injection there is no reason you can't add or remove fuel from individual cylinders. You just need a way to get AFR readings for individual cylinders to do it properly.

mic, the problem being that i didnt know all of this when tuning as it was a modified plenum and had no idea how it really flowed till now.

o2 sensors in each exhaust port would be an interesting.

bored, im running an mtx8 microtech, a decent ems, microtech or any other computer would be nice but its not the priority atm, as the mtx8 should be able to handle the job, it may not do the best job but it should be able to do it none the less.

A little off topic here i know but wat do others think, do i have my priorities wrong? should i be upgrading computer? cant really afford to atm but.
i dont want the microtech haters or whoever else coming on here and just bagging the shit out of it either, only constructive comments welcome and comments that are well backed up, with reasons and results.

look a ltx would be better, but at the end of the day the ecu you have will do the job. an wether you have a mtx8 or a ltx12 is will come down to the tuners abilities and skills with that particular brand whether you will have problems again.

I'm bored today, and there seems to be a bit of 1g love getting around at the moment, so i thought i'd bring this up from the dead, that might be of interest to some of the newer people here

This is from when i modified my plenum and the my flow results.

I don't have any flow readings from a standard plenum to compare, but these are from before and after power porting, from when i went to a forward facing throttle body, the main reason for this is i was having trouble with #6 apparently running lean at the time.

Looking back now the problem i had was getting a numbskull who couldn't tune a pushbike trying to tune my car, 3 blown motors later, and a different tuner, haven't had a problem for 5-6 years now, touch wood., and its pretty much the same set up, only thing different now is a newer turbo
