User changable User Titles

Yes we can set this so that the title changes depending on cred or post count or what ever.

Personally I like it to identify our club members since that is a request we get a lot of the time.

The more I think about this the less I like users being able to change the title.

Unless we here some good arguments for it I'll be turning it off today I think.

Yeah just turn it off... instead could you list the suggested titles or user groups?

Looking at this Forum (LS1) it appears they have 2 tags under their user name what are the options there???

Validated and non validated would be like Toymods club member and member

But you also have 2nd level technical poster
non technical poster
registered user.

It appears to work on reputation but also base on where you frequently post.

I like this as it helps the newbys with who they should possibly listen to.?!?

OK I've had a look and the second title is "User Rank" the software bases this solely on post count.

Yep, but whoring in tech and conversions will be harshly dealt with.

I think a rank based on how much you contribute in tech is a good thing though.

I like the idea of people knowing both club members and non ones and also who the tech guru's are around

Can this software sort out someones posts via %'s in each section?

Like if they have a high % of posts in Classifieds section, and they aren't a Sponsor, then they should be warned/banned?

Same goes for people with a high % of posts in the Non-Car Talk section

well we have the "reputation" system.
Check the FAQ section and read through how the reputation system works.

Basically it will show up that a person doesnt contribute anything worthwhile, because they wont have any posts are more than likely bugger all reputation.

Atm - post count only increases when you post in General Car Talk and Tech & Conversions...... so your average wookie wont get anywhere >:]

indeed - cos everyone can leave negative or positive reputation, and the effect your feedback has on their reputation is based upon YOUR reputation......

read the FAQ - theres a lot of factors involved, and once you read through them all you will LOVE IT.
