perhaps check for air leaks esp big ones... thats why my 20v didnt run
Just another thought, as you say from a delco background, I used to use the camria throttle body that had a stepper motor in it. In order to get the system to work properly with out the speed sensor I had to block off the idle control ports(of the stepper motor) that the speed sensor controls(through the stepper motor). Don't know if this applies here.

Hi,
I'd suggest checking your source power for the ECU. IE IG SW on the computer. Upon switching the ignition to ON and then also while your are cranking the engine, I suspect that you have 12V in the ignition switch ON position, and you loose that when you switch the ignition switch to START, so as soon as you let go of the key, it will fire or run for a second, then die. You should have 12V to that pin when you switch to the ON position, and when you are in the START position.
This happened to Julian Edgar when he installed an RB20 into his old Skyline. He thought he was getting 12V for the ECU when he was cranking the engine, but the point where he took this 12V powe for the ECU, looses 12V when switched to the cranking position.
Cheers,

basically during a start event - only one injector actually spraying fuel![]()
![]()
i had another set of injectors. same same
tried the one good injector on other plugs - worked
so in short, my injectors are knackered. which explains why it runs on aerostart![]()
it runs. yay
in short - i pulled the injector baskets out of the injectors and soaked them in fuel.
one injector is still dead but the other 3 are working just fine. so runs on 3 cylinders (still pretty bloody smoothe mind you go figure)
BIG thanks to all who have input here and helped out - i really appreciate your help!

Good to hear its running mate. Injector cleaning and servicing is well worth the money. Mine ran ok but while i had them on the flow bench i soon realized how much shit was blocking them up.

thanks des
an update : its missing on number one cylinder
i have spark and i have (too much) fuel as the plug is wet and i do have spark (which fvcking hurts) at the end of the lead
remarkebly it runs really well on 3 cylinders. my missus just reminded me it is very noisy - you get that with no exhaust - exhaust is exiting @ the cat convertor![]()
hopefully get the injectors done tommorrow.
thanks to B&M Fuel Systems in Richmond VIC i now have a set of fully reconditioned 4AGE 100kw fuel injectors
end result : my car runs perfectly.
YAY
