what type of extractors are you talking about after market or stock ones?
I think all factory extractors are all the same (expect for the 20 valve)

Will they be effective? Hard to say. It depends how they are designed and made.

What's needed for a ZE exhaust is very similar to what's needed for a GE exhaust, only it needs to flow some more gas. So if the extractors were good on a GE they will be fine on a ZE.

I know this isn't a GZE but recently dynoed a 4AGE NA then put some 4-1's on, in the mid range the improvement was neglible, at the top end it held torque a fraction longer about 800rpm so power was slightly higher, torque curve was nearly exaclty the same except for the slight hold at the top end. This was a standard motor so obviously gains would be noticed with further imrovements.

I quite liked my Genie 4-2-1s on the GZE which i had. Felt nicer by the SOP dyno than the stock set which i drove to the exhaust shop with. That and they didnt have the datsun-about-face design of how it went over the crossmember.

One the GZE i would get 4-1 as with Forced Induction you don't need the backpressure to help with power. Hurricane make some at about $400 last time i got some.
Just rem the 20v ones can be made to fit but they are for NA applications so i wouldn't recommend it.
