Installing Profec e-01 on 2JZGTE (Updated with Pics)

Anyone in Sydney (or elsewhere) have any experience installing one of these? I am struggling to sort this on my Aristo. I am learning slowly where things are on the 2J engine but don't want to make a mistake.

1. Installed the main screen in the car OK
2. Installed the control box behind glovebox OK
3. Installed handcontroller and its working OK

Need to install pressure unit and boost control valve.

BBQ/Pizza/Beer available for the right applicant/s.

on one of the various supraforums, there is a "how to install a boost controller on a 2JZ" article, which explains where to tee in for boost pressure, etc.

I've made some progress in installing the Profec e-01. Using some references from the Web, plus looking at other (related) installation documents I've managed to identify some key areas under the bonnet of the Aristo.

Here's the packaging and what you get





I downloaded the Profec e-01 manual as a starting point.

The first job was to fit the main display unit. I chose to put this where the centre dash speaker normally resides. I removed the perforated grille and the speaker. I was able to use the wire for the clock to power the unit.



I made a template from the grille to construct an mdf plate which I covered with black 'leather-like' material that i got as an offcut from an upholsterer. The Profec display and my voltmeter were then bolted to the plate.



All the wires tucked down inside. I then ran them inside some convoluted tubing to behind the glovebox:



I mounted the main control unit with some double-strength double-sided tape. This also gives convenient access to the engine bay through the wiring loom opening.



I mounted the pressure unit on a small bracket I made from aluminium scrap, sprayed in matt black and screwed it onto the firewall using one of the mounting points already there.



The green wire in the photo below is the RPM signal, which is tapped into the ECU.



This is as far as I've got. I still need to connect the pressure unit via some rubber tubing, and run the connection to the control unit through the firewall. The next step will be to install the controller.
