Still looking guys. I came across a electric power steering option called EZ Power Steering http://www.ezpowersteering.nl/language/23/2/home.html but still not technical with these sort of things.
Any other options??
I used a combo of RA28 and KE70 colums in both my conversions, as many others have also. RA28 upper inner column with KE70 lower inner column, inside an RA28 outer column.

I've seen one of these electric p/s units installed on an XW falcon. guy who owns it swears by it.
Yeah the reviews are all positive. There is a supplier in Queensland that im going to call tomorrow and see if its possible to fit on a Ra23.
I should add that the XW in question is a track car so I'm not sure what the implications are for registration on the road. Check before you splash the cash.
td42gq has done a power assisted in one of his Celicas, might have been Holden Astra column, but anyway send him a message and get the details first hand:

send me your column and i,ll fit it for you
For those doing ae86 power steering a Uni joint from ucf20 will go from ke70 intermediate shaft to 86 rack
Posted this in another thread, but quite appropriate here also.
We recently found another way to hold the lower bearing in place, you remove and replace the bearing with one with an OD that matches the Celica outer column, such a nice fit and I think the engineers will be very happy with it too. P/n is 6806-2RS, which is the same p/n across many of the bearing manufacturers.

Guys.
i havent read all thats required for R&P in a RA celica, but was watching this built and wandered if this setup could work on Aust toyota's.
i belived they used a ra 65 series 2 & AW11 columns with the std. Mix and match with some fabricating.
i'll be interested in what & if this is doable.
cheers.
