I use them on the front brakes on the rally car,

They are long lasting, work very well when cold, and dont fade, stood up with 80 laps around wakefield almost non stop ( doing 1:15's ) as well as a season of rally use,
and still look new. I know the Sprinter is light but im using standard JDM disks and rotors they are that good.
FWIW we use an SBS pad in the front of the AE-101 touring car in Malaysia, and they go the full twelve hours with no changes. Pretty amazing.
Though yes, they're mostly gone by the end of it.

For the Bathurst 12 hour I just did, the Celica's used Endless pads.

From the pads I have used, Endless SSS can take more laps before fading than RB74, but RB74 is pretty cheap. I know SSS isn't much of a track pad, but the only pads better I can get are DS2500 and Type R from Endless.

I wouldn't mind knowing which version they used as I am having trouble getting a good pad for my car.

The best ones are the ones that suit your desired application.
Since we don't know what that is, we can only guess.

well i went through the list then looked for suppliers in australia who either dont stock the whole list or stock some other shit thats not listed.

as listed in my first post my desired attributes are:

" know i am asking for the world looking for a pad that:

1/has good cold stopping power, or at least is quick to get to operating temp

2/good fade resistance in the hills

    3/long lasting

i will forgo number 2 if i have to, since most of my driving is street and long distance.

i also dont mind paying a lot if i am paying for performance."

add quality to that list as a general description because i wouldnt describe red stuffs a a 'quality' pad, although i have no problem with the black stuffs for what they are as a street pad.

they are the shitty ferodo pads, ie dont use them for performance orientated driving.

i forgot to make the phone call for you, sorry will do it monday as i need the same pads for myself.

ferodo DS2500"s are the pads best suited to your application, they use them in the "premium brake kits" on most new HSVs so they are a great all round pad,
cold stops are fine and on par or better than the likes of bendix ultimate etc but once they are warm they will pull you up extremely well and i havn't been able to get a set to fade yet so they are very tough.

    cheers

Competition Friction will cut Ferrodo pads to suit your particular vehicle for an extra $30 a set in case the DS2500 aren't listed for your vehicle. They are dusty but are so worth it anyway.
Rep points are for those who feel inadequate in other areas !
