Can you get your hands on another computer? How do you know your not getting a signal from the crank or cam sensors?
Any help much appreciated, trying to get my 1JZ Soarer finished in time for next weekend. Only problem is I have no sparks or anything from the Cam angle sensors or Crank angle sensors. I assume this is the route of the problem.
Any ideas, I'm thinking it might be a dodgy earth lead or similar???
I've got fuel & stuff, all the relays are working etc. Will I get a fault code off the ECU with this issue? if so whats the output at the ecu/diagnosis ports/wires?
Its a swapped in 1JZ by the way so not factory fit, ran all last year & not been moved for 4 months so that maybe the root of the issue
Cheers

Does the ecu output anything to the CAS? I get a resistance at the sensor but nothing else. It would be a 3 wire (one to ground at the unit) so I assume it'll feed a voltage through it - nothing happening thoughOriginally Posted by 3BarSuperstar

with a multi meter, check your getting a good 12V reading at the ignition module, and then with a led test light see if your getting a signal pulse from the ecm
regards dales
also make sure that your signal wire from your ignition module to your tacho is getting grounded and there fore making the signal go to earth, on cranking is your tacho jumping at all, is your injectors clicking
Ahahah
Only getting 5v at the black/oarnge wire to the ignitor unit which I thought was odd, but being 5v appeared maybe normal?. Perhaps thats the issue?
I assume its a switched earth from the ecu to the igniters?
