    Default 1UZFE - 1GGZE starters the same?

I called up Toyota to get a price on a 1uz starter motor.
They said the starter motor part number I had taken of the starter
    28100-50030 superseded to 28100-50020.

28100-50020 is of the 1GGZE super charged motor.
Can anyone on here confirm that these are in fact the same stater?

or just host a picture to compare against my old stater to compare please?

    Rebuild old starter ?

Maybe cheaper than a new one from Toyota.

My EPC says that the 1UZ starter is as you say...
    28100-50030
    SUBS 28100-50020

I'm not sure where you get the information that 28100-50020 is the same as 1G?

My EPC says that 1G is:
    28100-15040
    SUBS 28100-15090

Also as said, I'd look at rebuilding it!

    Cheers

maybe its the same as 1gz-fe but i doubt 1g-gze.

rebuild or S/H will be much cheaper.

    cheers

Problem with mine is that the starter housing cracked.

I found the info on here

Still, I'd like to see if the housings are the same on both starters.

If anyone can host a picture of both 28100-50020 and 28100-50030
    that would be excellent.

i have one too... and can confirm it isn't the same as a 1gz as it uses a 2kw starter.... at a cost of around the 1k mark from toyota....
