    just 'applied'

looks awesome i like these bits:

No roped-off displays "omg dont want to get my nekkid fireman scratched"

no club displays will be allowed, and expect to be parked away from your mates - the aim of the day is to meet new people and respect what they've done with their cars, not hide away in a corner with your club mates

looks like the even will discourage pure rice.

if i get invited i might have to make an effort this time...

Damn, maybe I should speed up getting that new turbo installed and that respray...

EDIT: also having thought about it some more I'm sure there's a whole slew of more interesting cars to go into the show, I mean there's a LOT or marques that fit the bill...

iron-chef and other organisers, in keeping with the vision of:

"be willing to chat to spectators and other entrants about your car, or have some information written and on display with your vehicle"

how will we know who owns which vehicle?

what about using nametags or badges that have either your numberplate on it or your entrants number that will also be on display with your car.

that way when i see something like a soarer with mad offset and shit paintjob i can keep an eye out for the owner so i can point and laugh etc...

no but seriously i have been to lots of shows and seen lots of cars i want to ask about but dont know what the owner looks like or how to find him.

the nametags thing doesnt fit the "keep it simple" theme we are going for

basically if you are around your car and you see people interested in it, dont be scared to go and have a chat to them and show them around it, tell them about it...etc etc

damn, SA is actually putting on a REAL car show...

    About time.

If I had the time I'd actually make an effort to travel for this, sounds like an awesome concept.
    Hope it goes well

Great minds think alike my friend - prior to reading this, I'd already made a standard A4 sheet with the entrant number and with space for owners to write information about the car that will be stuck up on the windscreen for those of you who don't feel comfortable chatting.

Acceptance emails coming soon guys, with all the info you need.
I import stuff. Good stuff. Toyotas even.
