Can anyone tell me what this does? Apart from make my idle hunt above what my gauge says is 3k

Is it for the brake booster or something else? Can anyone show me a pic of what the vacuum for the booster looks like? I havent spoted it, but i havent looked very hard either

It goes to the power steering idle up valve.

There is a pressure valve on the output of the PS pump that opens during high pressure (i.e. full lock). The valve bypasses the throttlebody to raise idle!

This stops the car stalling when you do a U turn (high vac, low rpm -> can lead to engine stalling if no PS idle up valve).

And vac for the booster should be at the rear-top of the plennum...

block that one off or run it to a guage as you dont need it for PS as you dont have PS.

as i said in your thread, booster is at the rear of the inlet manifold and it is the one causing your high idle. 11/32" hose you wont miss it if you look for it.

got a belt yet? dont go driving it withoput the water pump spinning.

have you changed the thermostat also?

Havent, but i will order a 2jz pulley and get a belt when i do!

And i dont remember wether i changed it or not, but i will have a look tomorrow night!
