    Talking 1G-GTEU help please

hey guys im a newby ... just got myself a gz20 soarer tt ... it is a great lil car came very very straight and has turbosmart goodies blow off .. timer ..i have shimed the turbo's with three wasers each and got myself to 9.5PSI thats always good for about a dollars worth of parts lol ... my questions are .. the auto gearbox is shit ... need to know how to fix it and other various little things i am in desperate need of a repair/workshop manual for the 1GGTEu ... i have found on here the 1gge and the jap version of the 1ggte if anyone has one could you please let me know as i refuse to give my car to some clown who will guess his way through fixing my pride and joy ... i have worked as a service mechanic so mechanicly minded and do have a fair bit of d.i.y fixes but they only go so far .... also i think i hat rev or speed cut last night on the hwy ,... got to about 150 odd maybe more then the revs cut back from 4800rpm to 3000 for about 2/3 seconds then came back like nothing happ ...my main concern is this shitty gearbox tho its holding alot of the old girls power back with sluggish take offs and not allowing full boost in 1st usual automatic crudd ... would also be interested in hearing about anyone who has done the auto to manual conversion .. anyway thanks to everyone in advance hope to get my tt going great gunns soon

So what do you want exactly? A high stall? B&M shifter?... I'm not sure fully sure whats going on, but maybe it was just a fuel cut? Too much boost without enough fuel? Try adding a intercooler, better injectors, and a better fuel pump... the stage 1 upgrades for any turbo car..
The manual conversion shouldn't be so hard, if your mech minded... theres no real wiring just replace ur clutch setup, tailshaft, bellhosing, gearbox and xmember pretty simple

ok new ,more serious problem for the moment .... took out my spark plugs today (first time since got the car last week) cylinders 1,2,3,4,6, fine but ashy ... number 5 cylinder has oil drenched spark plug ... had a look and some ppl have said PCV valve now .. my concern is on top where oil filler is there has two outlets one goes to that stupid looking intake near the turbo's and the other to the plennum its self ... i need to know what one the PCV goes into as i seem to not have a PCV at all ... and witch direction is it meant to block up ...? i have a spare pcv here just need to know how and where to install it .. thanks for anyy support as i know sweet F/A about PCV/EGR on a turbo motor

    Hi,

I have the same car and loving it, just my auto is a bit stuffed up too.

If you're after good power i reccomend you get a W58 manual gearbox, should cost you about $500 - 600 for the parts if you look around. Try to get a W58 from later models so the chances of it being in good condition are higher. Rebuilding an Auto gearbox can be costly, or you could get a cheap replacement auto, but then again you may have problems again.

    Good luck.
