i never got a firm figure on the machining as i never had a set number for them to do and there is over an hour just in setting up a CNC mill as all the correct tooling needs to be fitted then zeroed,
then run the machine thru the program to make sure it doesn't do anything weird and finally once all thats done can you run the program on the plate (providing you dont need to change any settings)

maybe where you looked into the viewing window of the camera was at a much different angle to where the photo was taken.
unless you were looking via the LCD

Unless you take the photo directly vertically above what you're measuring it will screw up that badly.
I generally take three photos - overall (screwed up) shot showing what I'm measuring, then a shot on each side vertically over the measurement.

Ive measured boths shafts a few times now and got the same 190mm each time .
