Ok starting to have trouble finding a starter with the E58.

The 4AFE one looks to fit much better since it doesn't interfere with the water pipe but I think the front of it is banging against the bellhousing and wont fit all the way in
    28100-16160

Now supposedly the one I have tried already is from an AE101 GZE but its interfering with the water pipe bracket bolt!
    28100-16110

Does anyone have any ideas on part numbers or what should fit??

Fidanza Aluminium. In hindsight I have a feeling it will be too light, but I'll see how it goes.

    Sloooowly goes it...

Mock fitting of exhaust manifold, turbo and dump pipe

    Zorst

    Exhaust manifold, ceramic coated black

-3AN BSPT fitting for turbo oil feed

-3AN Oil feed to tee and pressure sender

Mounted the pressure sender on the P/S pump

-10AN Oil return. Need to put some fire sleeving on it as its very close to the exhaust.

    Pictures of the drain

    Sits right behind the dump

Bracket to make sure it doesn't touch

Attacking the body loom and will then prepare a loom for the new ECU

Be sure to fix the drain to that bracket so you won't get abrasion due to vibration. Don't want to drop all your oil out in 6-12 months down the track.

    Nice work so far though.

That's probably a smart idea. I'll get some rubber around the bracket.

Thanks. It's coming along slowly. The latest update is I've got the Adaptronic and loom all wired up, I just need to mount the W2A Radiator and a few other accessories. Then to fill all the fluids and go for that first start!

Another recent addition is the Coil on Plug adapter plate I had made up

Unfortunately cylinder 1 was too far gone and needs to be sleeved. Will be trying to source a new block instead. Bloody crank is cracked too! Oh well, better to find these things out now then later. Put a post in the parts wanted section so hopefully something crops up. Stalled until then!
Hey quiksilv - Awesome build log mate. - I know it's been a million years since you posted this comment - Just wondering if you still have the dud block?

It's a long drawn out project I know! I do have the squirters but they were fairly blocked and some were seized. Happy to post what I have, but personally I would get new ones from Toyota!

Shes alliiiiiive!!! Wiring all done with mostly new connectors. Towed to the tuner for a run-in tune, running it in on the street at the moment with conservative timing and have about 70kms on her already without any major dramas *whew*

Only big drama is a decent amount of smoke coming from around the turbo upon throttle-off (idle and on throttle is fine). Any ideas? Hoping it's not seals since its a new turbo, only other thing perhaps is oil drain? (I already have a 1mm restrictor in the -3AN feed too)

    Pics soon!
