Engine bay cleaned and new steering rack in
Ready for action..
Without too much hassle, in she goes. Although definitely a note for future, install the rear mount first!

I've been doing things but not much to show for it.
Off the engine stand and bolted the flywheel on
Intake manifold and gearbox attached
Discovering my starter wont fit now that it's on the intake side
7mgte injectors cleaned and flow tested

So whats left to do?
cool build, it'll bring the smiles me thinks
Next is to get the headers and exhaust fabricated and get the intercooler and plumbing sorted. When it comes back from the zorst shop I will be onto the wiring gremlins to re-wire for the Adaptronic ECU. Hopefully I will be grinning from ear to ear... hopefully it actually works hehe!
What starter will you use mate? I have the same problem now I have a E58 box.
Casey somehow comeabout owning 3 gze starters motors... *ponders how much they're worth*
As for engine management; are you wiring/tuning yourself?
i can supply a rough base map from when my seca was supercharged with 440's, FMIC and full zorst if you need.. just to get you started
Another note:
se, cs, CSi? maybe basically anthing that had a 4afc engine (pov carby thing) had starters on the intake side, not sure about the 4afe motors but definitely the 4afc's
ae92 4afe's are on the inlet side, I have an engine down at work, I will pull it off and give it a try this weekend. Hopefully will work.
Cheers Casey a base map would be great! The initial wiring and tuning will be me until its run in a little and then onto a proper dyno tune I hope.
The starter I have coming is part number 28100-16150 so not sure what that's off and perhaps a hit and miss if it will fit!
I've used both reduction drive and direct drive starter motors on the intake side of my AW11 bigport 4AGZE (i.e I have no external head to block oil drain). Also I read the other day that 1GGTE starters can be adapted easily (for a few 100 extra Watts of starter motor drive). Are you having interference between the starter and oil drain?
== 4AGZE SC14 Supercharged ==
Now flogg'n the SC14 @ 18psi....
The oil drain definitely looks a problem although im hoping the arms of the starter are small enough to slide in between. The first issue at the moment is the nut on the starter fouling the bracket that holds the water inlet pipe.
This is the standard AE92 4AGE starter...

I didn't even think about the drain! Or the water pipe for that matter....
Can you not get a starter from an AE101 GZE or similar? Surely the starter used on that engine will be used on something else?
