Default Checking / setting 1UZ Ignition Timing (noob question)

I'm going to change the caps and rotors in the Soarer this week and was wondering about checking / setting the ignition timing.

I've done this heaps of times on the old celica, but the problem here is that this engine has 2 separate distributors - is there a special procedure for checking the base timing? Is it even adjustable or is it locked from the factory?

    Cheers,
    Andy
