This is true. My turbos have copped a beating, particularly since i've had them for some reason, but I had the inlet pipe off the other day and they are toight as.

guys as were on the topic of power im going to be changing to a single turbo setup soon on the 2nd gen gz20 turbo it is a t3 skyline turbo do u think it will give me more power than the twins or should i just stick with the twins and wind boost up to 15psi or so as the skyline turbos are ceramic and cant go past the 12 or so psi mark but then being a bit bigger might make a difference , what are your thoughts
i will be using an safc shortly as well

is that an rb20 turbo or rb25?

If it is rb25, wouldn't the amount of safe boost be higher on a 1g as it is only pumping a 2l engine rather than a 2.5L. What about the vg30 turbo?

I personally don't see the benefit from a turbo change like that. It's unlikely to make much of an improvement, if any, and probably comes at the expense of lag if it does. Don't forget, the 1G CT12's are small, but there is two of them.

280 was on the base map the poor thing has never had a tune, the ignition map is the stock microtech one, it runs 12 deg advance on 24psi

Whoa! Crazy. Keep us informed on your progress. Was it hard to find the components? Pistons, rods, etc.
