    Default Toyota Fest 2008

Thought I'd start a thread to see who was interested in going for this years event in October, having heard a few murmurs elsewhere of fellow Westralian's intention of attendance? Given the conjecture of Toynats, and the lack of a driving event thus far which seems to be making a few people decide against their attendance, I'll be focussing on Toyfest this year. I'd like to say I'll be driving over, but time will tell if this will happen or not (ie, I don't want to do any more body lifts on an old Crown than I really have too?!). So I'll be there, having either driven or flown, who else will also be attending?

    Cool Re: Toyota Fest 2008

Could be interesting if I can wrangle a cheap airfare or can fit it in with some "work" travel, but can't say just yet.

I'll see how I go. Not likely to take car though.

Yep, I get all the airlines emails for fare specials - you can usually find a return fare to Sydney for under $450 if you play your cards right?! Given there is now a concerted push for both Toyfest '08, and Toyfest '09 from some of the guys in the West, it may provide a perfect opportunity for people to fly in for this year's event and see if they like it, and then contemplate driving over the following year - after all the drive is half the fun.

Tickets booked - $500 return. For the sake of an extra $50, I couldn't be faffed waiting for special deals. Due to a new job, I'm unfortunately not going to have my car ready, but thats not to say the possibility of me having a car there has also gone?!

Found some excellent accom in the middle of Sydney too - stumbling distance from the Lowenbrau (The venue for the Sunday night dinner), anyone else interested? Price would range from $33-69 each per night - depending on room style (studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom)?!
