wat starter motors fit a 3tgte??

How much do they differ from 2T/TG starters?

its in a ta22, ive got my old 2tgeu starter motor on there at the moment but it pays up really bad. is the 2tgeu one the same as a 2tc one??

As far as I know yes - they are the same. 2T's and 2TGs both used T50's and had the same clutch setup so I can hardly imagine them having different starters!

I might as well add in that I have a starter off a 2T if you get desperate, but I think you'll be able to find one closer. Postage would be a killer because they aren't light!

I have a 2T one on my car right now; this is being used with a W58 so they may be interchangeable with ones that come with on T50 equipped cars (looks to others for confirmation or denial).
I prefer to have the reduction type starter that came with the engine originally. IF you have the reduction type starter, there is an exchange unit from Ingrams (reco'd unit). I will look for the part number.
I may have quoted the part number in the old forums.

edit/ part number found - RXS422. I was quoted $220 for this a while back. Any auto elec should be able to get it for you.

i have got a w58 behind my 3tgte but i had a w50 behind my 2tgeu, i did have a original 3tgte working starter but i sold it without realising i woudl need it

also wat altenator are ppl using on the 3tgte as mine lets my battery drop down to 11.5 volts wen lights are on and its idleing.

FJ20 Landcruiser alternator. Need to change the plug and pulley to suit (the Landcruiser uses a wider belt section).
