Classic Celica Club of Victoria Meet #16 – Sunday 10th February 2008.

Time: Meeting at 8am to leave by 8.30am sharp!

Date: Sunday 10th February 2008.

Place: Calder Park Raceway, Melways Ref Map 3 Reference A 5.

It's time again for the Picnic at Hanging Rock! This is just a tentative post at this stage, so some details may change - one thing that won't change is the Classic Celica Club of Victoria's presence at this event!

I had a ball last year with the thousands of cars up for show on the day, it made a great day out - be sure not to miss it this year!

The plan is at this stage is to meet at Calder Park - there won't be the pre-purchase of tickets this year, nor will there be free breakfast but it's a good place to meet up and cruise to the event. We must be there early as places are not reserved. To ensure a good spot and prime exposure, getting there early is a must!

We've got about a 30 minute cruise from Calder Park to Hanging Rock.

Entry at the gate is $20. Make sure to have this on arrival to ensure a quick and easy entry into the event.

I'll post more details as they come to hand - we've got 5 weeks to get out the rag and do some spit and polish, that means you!

I'm really looking forward to this one - hope we can have another big showing at this years event.

21st Picnic at Hanging Rock - 2008 Update
To ensure smooth operations and speedy access to the venue on the day, the following arrangements will be in place :-

Calder Park Breakfast will not be running
Display Cars are to enter via the North or South Gates
Clubs and groups - please arrive together to park together - no reserved parking
Non Display cars entry via East Gate Only
Traffic Wardens, local Police, revised traffic rules and signs will be in place
Entry remains at $20 per car payable at the gates
Gates open from 8am
Conditions of Entry will be enforced

On a side note, the person who has been updating our website has been off the scene for a while - is there anyone out there who could volunteer their services and update it? I have not been able to get in touch with the person who designed it.
