Its for the EGR gear in US cars.
Don't worry about it as we don't have it.
Hi all, long time no see.
After reassembling my 7mge (BHG) it appears I have misplaced a part. And as I disassembled it about 3 months ago, my shotty memory has no chance. And I cannot find a picture (or description) in the BGB that describes it.
I have a unfilled hole in my head, after the 6th intake runner. Here is a picture
10 points to whoever can tell me what I'm meant to put there
Cheers,
Dave

Do I need to plug it up? ie, have the lads at the head place nicked a blank off plate from me?
It seems strange that I'd put nuts on the end of bolts if I didn't take something off from there before (I have done much stranger things in my life though)

thats the bum hole p00 comes from there, better cover it quickly
Can you follow where the hole goes to.
If it heads into an exhaust port then yes you do need to block it off.
From what i can remember with 7mgte's you have to block it off.
1990 ST185 GT4 3SGTE
1991 ST184 SX 3SGTE
1991 SW20 GT 3SGTE
1998 ST215 GTT 3SGTE
2008 VDJ200 Sahara
Its on the intake side & the hole leads nowhere.
As someone else said its for the EGR connection which we do not have.
No need to block it off & better of checking your head bolt torque after a few cooldowns.
Yeah, no need to block it off.
There is a plate which goes onto the back of the head, which does some trickery, so the hole just goes nowhere. Ignore it and move on.![]()
As said the hole goes no where
Ignore, move on.
Cheers
