not sure if they will ship to NZ but worth asking, they have the tyres you want, always check that auction site fleabay i got 2 pair of 235/50/13 & a pair 215/50/13 for my celica.
I was wondering if someone can give me some advice on wide 14-inch tyres?
I have a set o 14x8 and 14x9 rims which currently have dunlop racing slicks on them.
I am wanting to change back to a road legal tyre but i'm having great difficulty in locating tyres wide enough to fit them. It seems tyre stocks of 14" tyres in NZ are limited. I'm willing to import some if needed.
I'm looking for between 205-225 for the front, and 215-245 rears, and preferably lower profile tyres (50 series or less) too. Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you, but i have J14 x J10 at the front and J14 x J12 at the rears.
So far, I will see how a 195 will look on the J10 first.

Your original fitment tyre would have had a 600mm rolling diameter (165SR13), so if you want to keep your speedo/odo accurate, stick to that size - 215-225/50/14 for the front, and 265/45/14 for the rear - the availability of rear tyres in suitable sizes is not something I like your chances with though?!
Well you have 8 and 9in rims, you can put anything up to 265x50x14 tyres on.
On the 8in rim l would be going for a 225 or 245 tyre and the 9in, 245 or 265 tyre.
Where to buy, go to Bridgestone tyres or BFGoodrich and see how you go, they are the only two that made those size tyres in 50 series and for a Celica thats the profile you want or try what fronz said with Toyo tyres but stick to the bigger sizes.

Toyo Proxes RA1
205/55R14 85V 5.5-6.5-7.5 (approved rim width range (inch))
225/50R14 V89 6.0-7.0-8.0 (approved rim width range (inch))
The only Bridgestone and BF Goodrich tires i found where re-treads which is a no no over 80 -100km in my books, don't like chunks of rubber coming off at that speeds. The sizes in those brands are discontinued from what I heard.

Some to suit in the various lists on that site.
My sig has been pruned as it was over 5 lines long.
Thanks for the responses
I have come to a dead end with every tyre you have suggested as they arent imported to NZ
