Yeah Ben i'll be out there spectating. Well, 90% likely, only issue is it's a busy long weekend of motorsport so hopefully the gf doesn't pull the 'quality time' plug..
Should be sweet.![]()

Well there ya go. Makes my blood run cold. Go too close to the edge of your cars capabilities....When will they learn...
A Skyline GT is not a GTR, a WRX is not an STi, geez an Imprezza RS is not even a WRX!!
anyone want to add to the list?
91 Soarer 1UZFE, MINES Ecu, Tein Springs, Bilstein Dampers Tomei Technical Trax 2-way LSD, 150.7KW ATW
^^^^none of that is relevent...if you dont respect the track... it wont respect you no matter what car you are in... im pretty sure that was a gtr

That picture is a late model gts, not a gtr. Always sad to see, but i guess that's the risk we all take and we're out there to better familiarise ourselves with our cars limits, as well as have fun.
Sometimes you make mistakes, but hopefully you know your car well enough so that you overstep the mark only so much as you can recover without writing it off... guess this guy overstepped a little more than that.
Anybody see it happen or get the official word on what he did?

oh ok i stand corrected
unsure what happened exactly... heard from one of the instructors... that afew inexpereiced people where pushing alittle too hard on a new track...
apparentely an r32 golf hit the wall aswell...
i think the major problem we have in sydney is that most of us go to wakefiled track days before we go anywhere else... on wakefield you can push alot harder as there is more run of and stuff like that for when you make errors... therefore making us think we can push to the same level at tracks like eastern creek and oran park... but if you make an error at those tracks the results can be the same as the picture above...

there's 2 different stories about what happened with the skyline, some have said he had a tyre burst coming down the straight
others say he just lost it, the important thing is the guy was okay...
anyway, it's all happened and past now, who's coming to the next one?![]()
true that, im going down to the next circuit club day at wakfield later this month to take some pictures

and your point is?Originally Posted by antbanister

I mean, an Impreza RS would probably be better than my MR2 on the track... yet that still doesn't stop me getting out there and having fun. Just be sure to know your cars limits and know the other cars around you.
