    Default GE to GTE conversion

    Is it safe to convert a GE engine to a turbo?
    wats the diffrence ge and gte (internal wise)?

    i got a 1ge and looking to put a turbo, manifold....ect

    Do you have a 1g-e or 1g-ge, 1g-e is Single Single Camshaft, 1g-ge is double camshaft.

    If you have the 1g-ge then the differences are :

    Compression Ratio
    Camshafts
    Doesn't have an oil drain on the block, and no oil feed for the turbo's.

    I also think the older 1g-ge's used in the Z10 soarer were MAP sensored and did not have a AFM, but had a MAP.

    So it's a bit of work doing the conversion.
