    I agree about the gasket not needing to be re compressed but I disagree as to not needing to retorque.

    I have found on my 3S with metal gasket and ARP studs that there was variation in how tight the studs were after being run for a couple hundred Km's. Some of them actually were able to be retorqued without adding torque to the original setting on the wrench and without backing the nut back. That means it has lost a lot of it's clamping force as we are able to overcome the friction as well as add more torque to the stud by using the same torque setting it was originally done up with.
