strange noise, 1ggte

noticed this tapping/ticking noise lately coming from the underneath of my car took a small video

seems to be from the bellhousing but afraid it might be from the bottom end. anyone shed some light on this?

im gonna try and take the sump off tomorrow and check the bearing caps.

is the noise louder under load?
does it still drive fine?

edit; taking sump off is a MAJOR PITA...

ive noticed sometimes its not even there. but it does get faster as the rpm increase.

the car drives fine though no loss in power and runs smoothly.

used a hose up againts the bell housing and then to my ear and does sound more like its coming from there. im guessing i would expect alot more issues if it was a bearing or loose cap?

as per your vid sounds louder under the flywheel... maybe picked up a stone thru the inspection plate

yea engine oil level is fine though it hasnt been changed in 7000km its on my list to do

the gearbox level is fine too and i recently put fresh stuff in.

I also notice while i was under there theres 2 bolt holes that look like they've had parts snapped off on either side of the bottom of the housing, is that a big issue or nothing to worry about too much?

i noticed also that the noise goes away when the car is in gear
