the long and short of this is if you could get the 4AG gear onto the 4KE dizzy shaft and you'd be about on a winner. you'd have to use an ignitor like a bosch one from a JB camira and this should work (in theory) remember that the advance weights would be setup from for the 4AG
I remember this from when I had a 4AG running on dellortos years back, big mistake, EFI all the way, unless you have to run carbs for a certain category.
I have this page saved on my pc, with pics, pm your email to me and i can send if you need them.

For some reason the dudes at racingstrong have taken this article down?
This comes directly from their site (the text and photos)
I take absolutely no credit for this text ; if anyone is offended by it please let me know and I will remove it post haste. I've emailed RacingStrong as well to make sure that it is OK for this to be here
Version 2 - Krylon Special
Since we have decided to run twin Weber DCOE carbs, we have to figure out a way to send sparks to the plugs. I did a lot of research. I also have a lot of experience with the older generations of the ignition system I have decided to use.
First off was to try and find a mechanical advance distributer. HKS sold one for the 4AGE back in the mid 80s. 20 emails later I find out that it does not exist anymore. So now I have to make one. Thank you Stephen Gunther for helping me figure out what I needed. I was told to look for a Toyota 3A, 3TC, and or a 4KE distributer. The body and shaft of the 3A will be used with the insides of either the 3TC or 4KE. So off to my local salvage yard I went. Man was it a lucky day! Nice weather... temps above 40ºF... pretty good for an early January day. I was also able to find a 3A and 3TC. Yippy!
The dizzy's were tore down and cleaned up. The case, shaft, and advance weights were used from the 3A. The vacuum advance was used from the 3TC, along with the pickup base. The gear is taken from the stock 4AGE dizzy. I am actually going to use a TRD forged gear and pin. This is a better quality gear than what Toyota used.
The dizzy was cleaned up, the case was destressed with my high speed grinder, and the pickup base was cleaned and relubed. It was carboned up and would not rotate. It works now thanks to WD-40. I priced out a new vacuum actuator, $150 from my local rip off Toyota Dealer. I even asked for a discount tlling him who I was and what I do for the Toyota community. All I got was a blank stare. So I am just going to use this one until I find out that it is causing problems. It seems to check out okay. I also needed to remove about ¾" from the end of the distributer shaft. I may have to grind a bit away from the gear also to clear my ARP head studs. We will find out once I drop the engine.
Since the hold down brackets don't fit the 4AGE head,(see above image) I am going to have to have one manufactured to work. The existing one ear will be cut off and a new double ear will be cut from aluminum and TIG welded to the case.
The cap and rotor are going to be an issue. I need to find a cap that has the plug terminals pointing up, like the OEM AW11 4AGE style. I am going to have to do some parts bin searching.
and
There was some speil on converting it to a crane setup which i have omitted as its not part of this discussion.
Cheers
