    Default KE70 Water Temp guage

i'm half way to connect and plumb my 3TC with the stock KE70 wirings.. now came across a problem. is KE70 water temp guage electrical or mechanical? i can't find any mechanical sensor on the existing wiring so i guess it is electrical? if it is, where i can unplug the electrical sensor from the 4K engine?

electrical. just a usual temp sender.
sensor will be near the thermostat in the housing if i remember correctly.
they are not particularly accurate and only give a vague idea of " cold, hot or somewhere in between", but better than nothing

you may be able to just unscrew sensor from 4K and screw into 3T thermostat housing.
there may be more than one temp sender, but maybe not.. if there is no efi or thermofans

on the 4k it goes into the thermostat housing, at the front im pretty sure...or was that the 1g...anyways, its in the thermostat housing region.

and my 4k one screwed straight into my 1g, so i reckon it will into your 3t aswell, then just connect it up and all will be good
dont try and run the 3t sensor on the ke70 dash, it will read funky.

if it doesnt fit there are companies that can modify your gauge to work with the 3t sensor.

    that doesnt look right.
    wrong sensor and wrong spot.
on the ke70, im pretty sure its hidden underneath the vac hoses shit, on the right hand side of that top hose outlet.
    pretty much under the thermostat.

it should just be a single wire to it, and a single spade connecter on the sensor.

ill drag a k motor out from the naughty corner and take a pic if i still have one intact. if you cant find it.

    cheers, andrew

that looks liek the thermofan sensor.. same spot as the EFI starlets..

seems you have a thermofan instead of water pump driven fan...

look on the lower half of the thermostat housing.. pointing out to the side....
