get the Wolf on and tuned - afaik there is not a great deal of tuning that may be done with the factory ECU. You are not going to see great gains going to FMIC without a corresponding tune.
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

You may benefit from going to an oil cooler, BUT, I have found that using a sump of increased capacity and greater surface area keeps the oil cool enough for a hard driven streeter, but would probably not suffice for a track car that is expected to do 40 mins of FLAT OUT driving.

The engines that were fitted with an oil cooler use a different sandwich plate under the oil filter with a thermo wax (or whatever you call it) which opens and lets oil flow through the cooler. There is a banjo fitting at the thermostat housing for the return path.

The modification of a factory Sump for increased volume and ideally baffeling is deffinatly not a bad idea.

Any aftermarket options around? The 3T is pretty popular in the US so presume something is available?

Moroso make a couple of alloy sumps for them, Not sure how well it fits in a Celica but the measurements and dimensions for them are online. They are not a cheap item tho for the good ones. and there entry level Sump is no where near as good as the JMR jobbie on mine and with the current exchange rate they cost allot more.

As long as it is working properly there is no good reason to change the factory fuel pressure reg, In fact aftermarket adjustable furl pressure regs and a defectable item (By the EPA) so why invite the problem.

A 2D fuel controller on a turbo charged car is a really poor idea. The computer has NFI about engine load so if it is tuned to be safe at X revs and full boost it will be retardedly rich at the same revs without the boost, that's the best case. Worst case scenario it's tuned nicely on the dyno then you drive it up a big arse hill that gets the engine making boost at revs it didn't on the dyno, it goes lean because of hte extra air being ingested still with the same amount of fuel for those revs and it ends with a busted motor.

"Decent" computers are so cheap these days there is no reason you would use such a rubbish old setup these days. A better computer will give far better results and also is less likely to cost an engine rebuild or double your fuel consumption.

Understandable if you have thousands to spend on a car, but when your on a budget you have to use what you have..

the 2d ran my brothers 13bt for years fine, why would if be any different on the 3t? also i dont know what this means but this is written about the wolf 2d

"Don't be fooled by the "2D tag, this unit has full 3D mapping, and can use the fuel map from a 3D using all 128 points."
