from what i have heard the 1JZ is far better than the RB25, i know of one RB30 with an RB26 head that has caused a world of issues for the owner, but its not entirely the engines fault.

so the 1JZGTE and 2JZGTE bolt up to the same bellhousing? i'd expect them to being the same block family but havent had any experience with these bigger engines.

    cheers all!

oh and 2JZ and 1JZ are incredibly similar, they use same bellhousing, flywheels, clutch etc.

you can swap between the two.

the issue comes witht he gearbox, as there were a few different versions, where the shifter positions were moved around, from what ive seen, the JZZ30/JZX90 (probably more models, these are the only ones i know for sure) remote shifters are the hardest to find.

EldarO, no worries, i probably get a bit too sensitive ? ..
My dyno graph only has rwkw & boost pressure, would have liked a AFR reading ..
    Regards ..

    lexmaxs,

you will need to be running 18-19psi boost to get about 245rwkw. but you would want have a good flowing set of dumps and probably an adj exhaust cam gear before u try that.

if you want any more than that u will have to use nitrous with the stock turbos.

we have twin 2.5" dumps to the cat, then a 3.5" catback system and we cant get it below 19psi.

Yep that sounds about right. Mine has 3" intercooler piping, 600x300x100 cooler and a 3" exhaust with the standard dumps and it runs around 14.5psi.
