That was my first Toyota Nationals and what can I say.........I had a blast from the time we left Canberra to when we got home.

The khana was great fun sliding around out there, sometimes following the designated courses

Will definitely be back again next year.

Big thanks to the organisers for a very relaxed and fun event

    Danae/organisers,

How do we upgrade our one day CAMS licence to a full year? I know a few of us out there are keen to do so after the weekend

Lucida, I think you just need that tear off section at the bottom of the CAMS form we filled out for the day licence and you produce that when you pay for the full licence to get the discount.

    This is basically correcdt.

I 'think' that the temporary licences (the tear off sections) were given to the nationals organisers at one point with the thought that they might be handed out to the entrants.

Effectively you have 30 days to 'upgrade' your licence, and as I understand it, the $25 you've already paid for the day licence should be taken off your payment for a full licence. I'm sure we'll hve the paperwork and payments into CAMS sometime this week, at which point they'll be aware (once they process them all of course). I'll get someone to check with CAMS when the paperwork gets delivered to them.

Also, don't forget that in order to use your licence, you'll need to be a member of a CAMS associated car club. For example, to join the TCC.net club, is $40 a year (without me looking to check that is).

Please forgive if I've said something wrong above, as 'm posting mid-lecture.

So the tear-off section will be sent directly to our home address then? I will be waiting

I'll fiund out exactly what happened to them, and what the plan is. Worst case is that we'll write out some new ones and post them through if they are required.

Will get back with the correct answer once I know for sure.

The slips will be mailed out to entrants from the Nationals organisers.
You'll need to be a member of a CAMs affiliated club (www.toyotacarclub.net), as the day licence only included a single day membership to our club, however it's only $40/y which is the cheapest around.
Then you we can do the paperwork with you without you needing to speak to CAMs directly, or you can speak with CAMs directly if you prefer.

Big thanks to everyone for a great weekend, we will be back and look forward to it next year!

I have the day off work today, I'd be really keen to start planning updates to the Nationals website.

I know I can't get everyones photos for the whole event, but if you have some particularily(Khana action shots would be nice..) good ones please post them here so I can use them over the next few days.

If you have a DVD or CD of photos please PM me for postal details.

    Bloody Awesome Weekend

This year was one of the best nationals I've been to, everyone was there for the right reasons, everyone was looking out for each other, and everyone had a great time... and there werent any dramas.

I've gotta say, I too would be more keen on a motorkhana over 1/8th mile drags (even if i had a turbo 18RG).... the khana was so much fun!
A nicer track surface would be good, but it wont stop me from entering next time.

Big thanks to Toyota Nationals and Toyota Car Club SA. Top work.

I've got a whole bunch of videos from the khana... im going to start converting them and uploading them to youtube today.
    ...... butt scratcher?!

Had a great time, big thanks to all of the organisers. I had a blast at the khana, made for an interesting trip home though with no grip. Trying to overtake on a wet surface with traction issues made it very interesting.

If anyone has footage of me and my car (blue A80) during the khana, I would greatly appreciate a copy.

    Cheers

Hi all , we made it home safe and sound. I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone that made the trek from various parts of the country as without your dedication there would be no Nationals. As always we endeavour to provide a great event for you and I'm guessing that all of you that went had a blast.
It was great to see some familiar faces from previous years as well as some old friends and lots of new faces too, I had a great time catching up with lots of you over the weekend and had many laughs too.
A very BIG thanks to the SA club for making the very long drive out to Dubbo and providing us with an awesome event, the motorkhana. It was an absolute blast watching everyone throw their cars around that track. We're already looking at another location for next year with a much better surface.
Congrats Justen, on your Top Toyota trophy, it was well deserved and congrats to all the trophy winners, and thanks for bringing out your cars.
Now we're all looking forward to all the photos and Khana-cam footage that I'm sure will make its way onto the net.
    cheers Danae Blundell
