Twas an awesome weekend as usual.

The Sunday turnout for the motorkhana was great. Many locals driving by stopped for a look to see what the fuss was about.

There was some great car control both around the circuit (and just generally for those who were directionally challenged), plus a lot of laughs at those whose cars were severely overpowered.

I'm sure those everyone who competed & hadn't done so before, will be looking at doing it again. I'm just annoyed I didn't have a car to take.

There will be lots of action saved on video (including some great car-cam type footage).

I think we need to send the footage of the RAV4 to Toyota to show them some advertising ideas. I'm sure that no one has ever seen something that should be so unwieldly blast around a track like that one did

The running of the event was excellent by both the Toyota Nationals Crew & the SA Toyota club. Big thumbs up.

For those who decided not to come because there was only a motorkhana & not any drags, soory, but you missed an awesome day & next year, with some more time to plan, & a better location with less stones & further away from houses will be even better.

Bring it on. See you in one year.

That Shirt is a ladies styled signed by Neil Bates and Coral Taylor. I think I was to drunk and way to quick with my you buy it and I'll where it comment arouind the table at the dinner.

I was totally agree with the above posts, well done to the Nationals Board for another great event, a huge thanks to the SA Toyota boys the Kana was a hoot. I loved trying throw the luxo barge around.

I've also got tons of footage from the event, a fair few of my photos from the show n shine didn't come out as well as I would of liked. However Jas and I got a whole heap of videos from the Kana.

So expect another wrap up and some links in a few days

YUP, nothing but thanks and positive comments on the event... great as usual.

The khana was a great replacement for the drags and i'd actually rather do that again next year over a dinky 1/8th mile.....even if the GT8 is a tad overpowered

    Hi,

It sounds like you all had a great time, and you all got home safely.

I look forward to the pics and footage, and though I could not make it this year, I hope to go next. Congrats on the organisers for obviously putting up another fine event.

Sorry i had to leave early, but i had a family member have a heart attack and was in hospital, so after a great trip up, and LOTS of pizza and Beers on friday night , i had to hit the road again back to sydney on saturday morning. I really wanted to stay, as it is always a great weekend, and by the looks of those photos, i missed out big time. I herad you all had a great time, and it was better then a lot of you were expecting. But family comes first, so i had to miss out
Looking forward to all the photos, and ill be there next year again!!

    Cheers

    Well, what a weekend!

I'll write a longer writeup tomorrow when I have some more energy and time, but I had a blast!

What I want to post here for the moment is, I'm planning on making some changes to the Nationals website over the coming days(especially tomorrow as I have the day off work).

I'm keen for photos/videos to put in the gallerys and I also need a nice few for the front of the main page.

Please PM me for postal details if you have a DVD of photos or videos, I really want to get a decent "offical" archive of event photos for the website and the future as we don't really have that for the past much except in individuals collections. I'm happy to cover your postal charges if it's an issue

I for one will be there again, the Khana is great from a driver and spectors point of view...

    Go the RAV!

Bugger me, i never expected the TT trophy

I feel a bit guilty for not being at the pressie dinner but my little daughter was missing me and my wife was pretty patient on all the hours i put in leading up to the Nats so owed them at least a day of the long weekend

Thanks again to Grant and Co for the work they put in to keep delivering a top event.

I had one, very strong one actually, I couldn't handle the huge dose of reality when we got home.....talk about crashing back to earth with a dirty great thud.

The 'Dirty RAV Racing Team' sounds like a plan, t-shirt ideas already on the backburner
